BABSON PARK, Fla. – In a big time rivalry matchup of The Sun Conference, the Royals defeat Webber International 1-0 in regulation. The win for the Royals is the first TSC win of the season.
The two conference rivals met earlier in September in a non-conference matchup in a game that went to overtime and ended in a Webber 3-2 victory over the Royals.
Today's conference matchup showed strong defense in the first half and a quick strike by the Royals in the second half that spelled victory for Warner at Warrior Field.
The Royals offense took off in the first half with 8 total shots. The defense stood strong holding the Warriors to just 4 shots.

Denise Ortiz had the ball and made the crisp pass to Manzke who then found the back of the net for the lone goal in the match.

Mackenzie Spurling played all 90 minutes for the Royals in goal earning her first collegiate victory. Her first victory gave her credit to a shutout over a powerful Warriors offense where she also set her season and career high of 7-saves.

The Royals are now 3-1 against the Warriors in the last four games played.
