Warner Football – Royals Rewrite Records In Conference Win Over Ave Maria On Senior Day

LAKELAND, Fla. – Royals freshman quarterback Dylan Blair breaks single season touchdown record. Javon Wilson ties DJ Davis for most career 100+ rushing yard games. The Royals as a team set new record for most points ever scored in a season.
 

Warner University football punished the Gyrenes with 498 offensive yards this afternoon. Royals quarterback Dylan Blair completed 15 of 30 passes for 307 yards through the air and 2 touchdown passes. His first touchdown pass which was a 74 yard connection with Freddy Robinson marked his name in the Royals football record books. Blair furthered his record later on in the game when he completed a 66 yard pass for a touchdown to Keon Brown. Dylan Blair now owns the Royals single season passing touchdown record with 16 and a game to play. Previous record was set by DJ Davis with 14.
 
Javon Wilson continues to stun opposing defenses as he netted 149 yards on 30 carries in the ground attack. Wilson ties the all-time career 100+ yard rushing game mark with six career fames along former Royals DJ Davis. Javon Wilson already holds the Royals all-time single season rushing record and now sits 19 yards shy of the first ever Royal to net 1,000 yards in a single season.
 
Kama Jackson had a career day defensively for the Royals as he finished the game with 11 tackles (9 solo), 1 sack for a loss of 4 yards, 1.5 tackles for a total loss of 5 yards, a pass breakup and also an interception that was returned for 7 yards. William Bethel also finished the game with a sack and 7 tackles (6 solo).
 
Trevon Jackson had an outstanding all-around game. He hauled in 6 catches for 121 yards along with 3 rushes for 22 yards and a touchdown.
 
The Royals went into the first half trailing 13-14. It was an offensive breakout in the second half along with capitalizing on key turnovers that gave the Royals 28 second half points taking the 41-27 victory.
 
With the 41 points, the Royals as a team, break the all-time single season scoring record which was set at 254 by the 2016 Royals. Still with a game left, Warner has 258 points on the season and continue to role.
 
The Royals earned their first Mid-South Sun Division win over the Gyrenes this afternoon. With the win they improve to 2-7 overall and 1-4 in the Mid-South.
