KINGSPORT, Tn – No. 18 Royals take down the Eagles of Reinhardt for their 10^th season victory. On the back of a Maxwell Benoit 26 point effort the Royals force the Eagles to land with the final score of 82-66.
 
The highly successful 26-5 NAIA National Tournament appearance Royals of 2016-17 reached their 10^th regular season win quickly taking the 10^th game on December 5^th, 2016. Today, December 1, 2019, the Royals defeated the Eagles at the NAIA Showcase in Kingsport, Tennessee to place their mark on the history books becoming the fastest ever Warner Men's Basketball team to reach 10 wins.
 
Today's game against the Reinhardt Eagles finished with a 82-66 Royals victory. Maxwell Benoit led the offensive attack with 26 points and 3 steals. Jaquez Dickerson, Joshua Rathell and Bart Schild all finished the day with a block to their names as the Royals defense held the Eagles to just 43 shots in the game. Joshua Rathell finished the day hitting 4-7 shots for 10 points with 2-4 from beyond the arc. Bart Schild added 11 points going 7-7 from the charity stripe.
 
The Royals finished the NAIA Division II Showcase as only one of three teams to go 2-0. They were joined by West Virginia Tech and Lourdes (Oh.).
 
This coming Thursday the Royals will battle in their biggest game so far this season as they take on the No. 13 Ave Maria Gyrenes. The Gyrenes just fell for the first time this season to No. 11 Washington Adventist 79-85 so they will be ready to go. It'll be a battle of the NAIA DII Top 20 as No. 18 Warner takes on No. 13 Ave Maria in Ave Maria, Florida on Thursday December 5^th at 7:30 p.m.
