Warner Men’s Basketball – #16 Royals Named TSC Regular Season Champs – Taking On Wildcats For Regular Season Finale

LAKE WALES, Fla. – This Saturday at 4 PM the Royals from Warner will take on the Wildcats from Johnson & Wales in the last TSC matchup of the year for either side. Johnson & Wales will host the game and come into the game with a 2-22 overall record and are 2-15 in conference play.

The Royals will enter tomorrow's game having been crowned the TSC regular season champions, the first time the Royals have accomplished this feat under Head Coach Sean Hanrahan who has been with the program for 12 seasons.

Warner claimed the regular season championship after defeating the Keiser Seahawks 70-66 last night in the final regular season home game in the TAC.

The Royals are an outstanding 14-3 in conference play this year and come into the game sporting a 21-8 overall record. Five out of eight of the Royals losses this year have been to teams ranked inside the NAIA top 19.

Warner is averaging 83.4 PPG while allowing 77.9 PPG. Warner's 83.4 PPG average is 1st in the TSC.

One advantage Johnson & Wales has over the Royals is home-court advantage; Warner is 7-4 on the road this season and are a perfect 14-0 at home.

Previous Matchup:
1/10/19
Warner defeated Johnson & Wales 93-86 in the TAC.

The Wildcats gave Warner one of the toughest fights they have had at home this season when these teams met earlier in the season, JWFL shot 55% from the field and shot 44% percent from beyond the arc, making 15 3-pointers in the game.

Warner was able to come away with the win because their defense tightened up down the stretch and was able to keep the Wildcats from making a game-tying 3 with 2 minutes left and were able to grab the momentum and win after that.
