LAKE WALES – FLA. Yesterday Afternoon, the Warner Women's Tennis Team faced off with (RV) Webber International University and fell 5-4 after a hard fought battle that was decided in the last matchup of the day. 
 
Doubles
In the first doubles matchup, Emily John and Paula John (Webber) defeated Andrea Silva and Marla Mesa Montoya (WU) 8-5. 
The second doubles matchup fell in facor of the Royals, as Paula Ordonez and Annaleigh Collings (WU) defeated Isabelle Niehoff and Svenja Koenig (Webber) 8-6. 
In the final doubles match, Jenna Fosdick and Megan Kelson (Webber) defeated Veronica Kamoi and Danieris Santiago (WU) 8-4. 
 
Singles
In the first singles match, Emily John (Webber) defeated Andrea Silva (WU) with identical scores of 6-2. 
In the second singles match, Paula Ordonez (WU) defeated Paula John (Webber) in three sets. After giving up the first set 3-6, she then came back and took down John 6-3 and 6-2. 
The third singles match saw Isabelle Niehoff (Webber) defeat Marla Mesa Montoya (WU) 6-4 and 6-1. 
In the fourth match, Annaleigh Collings (WU) defeated Svenja Koenig (Webber) 6-2 and 6-1. 
The fifth match took three sets, as Veronica Kamoi (WU) fell to Megan Kelson (Webber) after winning the first set 7-6 but then giving up the last two sets 6-4 and 6-1.
In the final singles match, Danieris Santiago (WU) defeated Alissa Riedel (Webber) 6-0 and 6-2. 
Up next, the Lady Royals will travel to SCAD in Savannah, Georgia for a match this Saturday, February 23^rd.
