Warner Men’s Basketball – NAIA DII #16 Royals Tear Up Lions 73-57 For 20th Season Win

LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Warner Royals remain undefeated at home taking down the Florida Memorial Lions 73-57.

The Royals have one more regular season home game this coming week against Keiser University as they try to finish out the regular season perfect at home.

Warner took on Florida Memorial inside of the Turner Athletic Center tonight and came away with a convincing 73-57 victory.

Three Royals reached double digits in the win with Darryl Mercer Jr. finishing the night with 21-points. Joseph Martz nailed a couple three-pointers on his way to a 13-point night with 4 assists and 3 steals. Trae Graham posted another double-double with 11-points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 block.

Warner has just about solidified themselves as leaders in The Sun Conference but still have two games remaining in the regular season.

The Royals shot 52% from the field while making three-pointers 31% of the time. The astonishing fact of the night is that they shot a measly 61% from the free-throw line hitting only 11-18.

With tonight's win the Royals notch their 20thregular season win and stay atop The Sun Conference with a 13-3 record.
