SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota. – Warner University Royals Men's Basketball return to the NAIA DII National Championship for the first time since the 2016-17 postseason. The Royals are set to take on the National Championship Host Institution Dakota Wesleyan University.

The Royals locked down their automatic berth into the National Championship by taking The Sun Conference Regular Season Title for the first time under head coach
Sean Hanrahan with a 14-4 TSC record. The Royals last made an appearance to the National Championship in 2016-17 where they fell in the first round to Taylor University. The Royals have made the NAIA DII National Championship Tournament for the 7
thtime in school history. They currently bring in a National Championship record of 10-6. Royals senior
Jalen Williams said, "This National Tournament is a chance to prove what we are made of as a unit. We've had to put in so much work to get to this point, now it's time to make a run for the Natty!"
Dakota Wesleyan University (S.D.) makes a repeat run at the National Championship tournament. The Tigers made a Final 16 appearance last season taking down Governors State (Ill.) in the opening round of 32 teams, then fell to the College of Idaho by a final score of 60-62. They also are the Host Institution of the Tournament and won their berth with an At-Large selection.
