WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Warner University took on the Webber International Warriors this morning in round two of the Sun Conference Championship Tournament this morning and came away victorious 7-3.
With the win over the Warriors, the Royals advanced on to play Thomas University at 1:00 PM in round three and had a chance to be 3-0 with a win vs. the Nighthawks, unfortunately for Warner the Nighthawks had other plans and bested the Royals 12-1 behind a superb offensive performance, tallying 19 hits in the game.
Despite the loss Warner's hopes of reaching the TSC championship game are still alive because of the tournament's double elimination rule.
The Royals are awaiting the results of the Southeastern vs. Webber game this evening to see who they will play Sunday morning. The Royals will play the winner of this contest.
