Warner Football - Royals Offense Looks Promising vs. #16 Wildcats

MCKENZIE, TN. - Warner took on the NAIA #16 ranked Bethel Wildcats in their second game of this young season, despite a strong offensive showing on the ground the Royals were unable to overcome the Wildcats and fell 35-20.

Despite this loss, 0-2, the Royals showed that they are a strong offense and can make things happen behind their offensive line,as they ran for over 200 yards this afternoon. The top carrying back for Warner, Javon Wilson, carried the ball 21 times for a total of 142 yards with a long of 33.

The Royals took an early, 7-0 lead in the 1st quarter, after a 7 yard rushing touchdown from Trevon Jackson, and were only down 14-10 entering the 4th quarter. 

The Wildcats offense began to click in the 4th quarter as they began to separate from the Royals, scoring 21 points to the Royals 10 in the quarter on the way to their 2nd victory of the year.  

After 2 weeks on the road the Royals will finally be at home next Saturday to take on NAIA #13 Lindsey Wilson College. Expect this young Royals team to be hyped up and ready to show out for their home crowd in their season as they look to upset a top 15 team.
