North Miami, Fla. - The Johnson & Wales Wildcats completed the season sweep of the Warner Royals this evening after defeating the Royals 59-46.
The two Sun-Conference teams were tied at 13 apiece after the 1st quarter of tonight's action but the Wildcats exploded in the 2nd quarter for 23 points and held an 11 point lead at the half.
Both teams played strong in the 2nd half of the game, battling back and forth but Warner was never able to get the momentum swing they needed to cover the deficit.
Troi Grant led the way for the Royals, scoring 16 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, with 3 assists.
Alana St. Clair tallied 7 points with a game-high 14 rebounds.
The Wildcats held D'Asia James at bay the entire game, holding the Royals forward to 3 shots the entire game.
