LAKE WALES, Fla. – Despite the lowest set of 22 points, the Royals were unable to overcome the Bobcats dropping to 1-5 overall.
The Royals vaulted to a 1-0 lead over the Bobcats with a 25-17 final following the first set. The Bobcats went on to win the next three sets but the Royals gave a tough battle. 22-25, 25-27, 22-25 were the final three set scores. Warner has now gone into extra win-by-two sets in three of their last seven games
TarriAnne Henry led the Royals offense with 11 kills. Henry was followed by
Miranda Manduley, with 8 kills. With a big time defensive effort,
Hannah Bell finished the game with 5 blocks,
Lady Gwendolyn Simpson with 4.
Madison Hughes finished the matchup up with 21 assists.
Alyanna Correia registered 16 digs while
Madison Hughes finished just shy of a double-double.
The Royals return to Turner Athletic Center on Monday October 5
th at 7:00 p.m. This will be the make-up game from the postponement earlier on in September.
