BLUFFTON, SC. – The Royals and Sand Sharks played the make-up game that was rescheduled due to weather early last week. It was the Sand Sharks that were able to complete the shutout over the Royals 0-3.
For only the second time this season the Royals were held without a goal in the match. The only other time was when facing No. 4 Southeastern and that was also on the road.
The Royals have fallen in back to back Sun Conference games. Against the Sand Sharks, Warner was able to put up 6 total shots with 4 of them on goal. The Sand Sharks netted their goals in the 36

th minutes to secure the win.
Stellar defense by the Sand Sharks held the Royals to just 1 shot in the first half. The Royals offense found its stride with 5 shots in the second half and 4 of them finding the net.
Gabrielle Barnette took the goal keeping duties for the Royals appearing in her third game so far this season. Barnette had 3 saves and 0 goals coming into the match. She was able to jump on 6 of the Sand Sharks shots, unfortunately their offense proved lethal finding the net three times.
Gabrielle Barnette took the unfortunate loss in the first decision for her this season and falls to 0-1.
The Royals schedule does not get any easier as they will take on the defending national champions the Keiser University Seahawks on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. We'll have all the action for you live on the Royal Sports Network.
