BRUNSWICK, Ga. – Warner dropped their first game of the season last night against the Mariners of Coastal Georgia.
The historic series between the two schools is still young since the addition of Coastal Georgia into The Sun Conference back in 2017. Warner leads the overall series 6-2, the 14 point spread in last night's loss was the largest margin of victory either team has had in the eight games played.
Darryl Mercer Jr. led the Royals offense with 23 points in the game hitting 5-9 from three point range.
Rod Boggan was the only other Royal to finish in double-digits as he reached 16 points hitting all 8-8 from the charity stripe.
Warner falls to 3-1 on the season with last nights loss. Next up the Royals head to Miami Gardens to take on St. Thomas University in what's always set up to be a tough TSC game.
