LAKE WALES, Fla. – Warner Women's Basketball took a commanding win over the Suns this afternoon In their home opener.
The Royals wasted no time jumping out to an early lead over the Suns. The nights leading scorer,
Haley Gantt, put up some stunning numbers. Gantt finished the first 10 minutes of play on fire with 17 points of the Royals 24 total. Warner finished the first half with a 43-17 lead over the Suns.
Warner bested the Suns with a final score of 81-48.
Haley Gantt had a massive night with a double-double of 29 points and 13 rebounds. Another big game came from
D'Asia James who finished with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both
Isabella Lopez and
Alysa Augustin registered 8 points apiece while combining for 14 rebounds between the pair.
Carly Price led the team in assists with 6 and also finishing with 6 points.
In the short history of the two teams, the Royals now lead 3-0 in the overall series. Today's victory was the largest deficit of the three defeating the Suns by 33.

th the Royals hit the court again at home in the Sun Conference opening game against Florida Memorial University. The Royals are on a nine-game skid to Florida Memorial and hope to break out as they trail the Lions in the overall historic series 7-23.
