Warner Men’s Basketball – Royals Deploy Lethal Arial Attack In Win Over (RV) Fire

LAKELAND, Fla. – Warner returned to the court for the first time since November 21st when they played Webber International. The Royals have won their second in a row and took down the Fire in commanding fashion.

Warner has proved tough to beat at home with an unbeaten 4-0 record to start their campaign. When on the road, it's proved to be a slight struggle. The Royals made a change and took over a tough nationally recognized Southeastern team defeating them by almost a thirty-point margin with a final score of 102-76.

The Royals offense hit the gas scoring 55 first half points. They answered with 47 points in the second half but the defense stole the show by holding the Fire to just 33 second half points.

The Royals started off the game nailing six three pointers. It was their deadly accuracy from beyond the arc that would contribute to their big win. The Royals deployed an arial onslaught hitting 17-28 from behind the arc in the game for a 60.7% shooting percentage. They aided their arial volley by finishing the game making better than 54% of the shots from the field.

Rod Boggan showcased his strength yet again with a 24-point night hitting 4-8 three pointers. Jordin Jackson put on a shooting display finishing the night perfect in every shot category. Jackson was 6-6 from the field, 3-3 from three-point range and 3-3 at the charity stripe while playing only 25 minutes. Logan West tallied 16 points largely in part to his 3-4 performance from three-point range and added 4 rebounds to the mix. Jaquez Dickerson was near perfect shooting 5-6 from the field and knocking down 3-3 from three-point range with a flawless 2-2 at the free throw line.

Warner improves to 5-2 on the season with the win and 3-2 in The Sun Conference while snapping a two-game skid to the Fire. The history of the matchup remains in the hands of the Royals now with a 17-12 all-time record over the Fire.
