Warner Men’s Basketball – Royals Trounce Thomas; Send Seniors Off In Fashion

LAKE WALES, Fla. – Tonight marked yet another senior night for Head Coach Sean Hanrahan and this time he would be sending three remarkable seniors off in the finest fashion.

Before the game Coach Hanrahan had this to say about his seniors,
Seniors
#4 Maxwell Benoit
"Max has had a great year for us. He scored his 1000pts and really well liked amongst his teammates. One unique skill he has is to negotiate helpside while keeping his dribble alive,it is extraordinary. One thing you might not know about Max is he likes to sleep. Whenever we are on the road and have some extra free time he will be the first in his room to lay down. Thank you for your commitment to this University and our program, you will be missed."

#10 Bart Schild

"Bart was such a pleasure to coach and be around. His ability to balance all aspects of life and still contribute on the court are amazing. One of his greatest strengths was the ability to score while twisting his body in 3 directions. Coach Matt Warren was the main reason for Bart attending Warner and I am so glad he did. Many don't know but Matt coached Bart in Prep School (NC) before coming to Warner. I can't wait to see what Bart does next. Thank you for all your hard work."

#15 Justin Storr
"I saw Justin late in the recruiting period this summer. He was deciding where he would finish school and play. I asked him to join our program. He only started playing in second semester but has done everything we have asked him to do. He has a qualities of a big brother. He is smart, compassionate, and well respected by his coaches and teammates. I know God has big plans for him. Thank you for your maturity and positive attitude."

The Royals controlled the game from the opening tip until the final buzzer, even leading by 40+ points during the 2nd half.

All three seniors scored in double-digit points, with Maxwell Benoit leading the way with 19. Darryl Mercer Jr. and Anterrius Washington joined the party and each scored double-digits as well.

With this win the Royals have further solidified their chances at making the Sun-Conference playoffs but will need to win their final regular season game, @ Coastal Georgia to guarantee their way in.
