No. 25 Warner Softball – Royals Walkoff & Run Rule Bobcats In TSC Doubleheader Sweep

LAKE WALES, Fla. – No. 25 Warner softball extended their winning streak to 11 straight games with the doubleheader sweep over the Bobcats of St. Thomas.
 
GAME 1 – WU 1, STU 0
 
The Royals and Bobcats participated in a back and forth pitching duel in game one. The Bobcats put up 7 hits but could not push a run across. Tiffany Dodson (10-1) led the Royals inside of the circle striking out 7 in her complete 7 inning win. The Royals had 6 hits offensively including a double from Kaitlyn Ridolph and another triple from Ashton Owen for her 4th season triple putting her #6 in the NAIA individually. The Royals capitalized on a costly infield error in the bottom of the 7th by the Bobcats that allowed Andrea Rebello to score from second and give Warner the walkoff victory.
 
GAME 2 – WU 10, STU 2
 
The Royals smacked 4 doubles in the game to help lift them to the run rule over the Bobcats. Sara Bruno, Ashton Owen, Avery Cotterill and Kaitlyn Ridolph all registered doubles in the game. The Royals also swiped 5 bags in the game. Kasey Heslin leads the Royals 12-12 in stolen base attempts. Ashton Owen is 9-9, Avery Cotterill 3-3, Kaitlyn Ridolph 2-4, and Caitlyn Yockey 3-3.
 
Kasey Heslin and Caitlyn Yockey both registered 3 hits in the game. Kasey Heslin was 3-4 with 3 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Caitlyn Yockey was 3-3 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Sylvia Welsh improved to 7-2 inside of the circle spreading out just 3 hits in the complete 6 inning game while striking out 6.
 
No. 25 Warner improves to 19-3 on the season and continue their 11-game winning streak. They also improve to a Sun Conference leading 4-0.
