Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Royals season started on the road but they came out firing taking down the Falcons of Florida College 4-1.
 
Late in the first half prior to a rain delay, Lexi Garcia found paydirt in the back of the net with an assist from Sara Machado.
 
In the 55^th minute, Kristin Campbell gave the Royals a 2-0 lead with an unassisted goal.
 
The Falcons scored off of a penalty kick chance after being fouled inside of the box in the 60^th minute. That cut the Royals lead in half 2-1.
 
In the 80^th minute, Lexi Garcia found the net again this time off of a corner kick from Maddie Manzke.
 
In the 82^nd minute Lexi Garcia completed the hat trick scoring her third of the night, the assists credited to Blessing Zim and Maddie Maznke.
 
The Royals took the win and for the first time since 2017, the open up their campaign with a victory.
