Warner Women’s Basketball – Royals Narrowly Fall To Seahawks In Final Seconds

LAKE WALES, Fla. – Dianis Hurtado and Carly Price combined for over half of the Royals points and proved deadly from range as the Seahawks barely squeak passed the Royals.

In a low scoring affair, the teams headed into halftime with just a one-point separation of 19-8 in favor of the Seahawks. The Seahawks edged out the Royals 11-8 in the third quarter to lead by four. Both teams scored a night high 16 points in the fourth quarter which in turn gave the Seahawks the 46-42 win.

Signs of improvement came from the Royals tonight as Dianis Hurtado went 5-8 from the field hitting all three shots from beyond the arc and finishing the night with 13 ponts. Carly Price finished 4-7 from the field and all four were three pointers. Price also was the game leader with four assists.

The Royals and Seahawks history of the series tips further in control of the Seahawks as they lead the series 21-8. Tonight's loss extends Keiser's streak to six straight over the Royals.
