Warner Women's Soccer - Royals Drop Another Conference Game To Nighthawks

THOMASVILLE, GA – Royals fall to 1-6 in conference after a tough loss to Thomas University 1-0.

The Royals traveled up to Georgia to face the Nighthawks. Although the Royals are ninth in conference, the way they played against the Nighthawks did not relate to their conference record. This was the seventh time this season the Royals have lost by just one goal. Also, this was the first matchup between these two teams this season and the eighteenth matchup between both the Royals and Nighthawks since 2006. The Royals have struggled when traveling to play at Thomas University, their last win in Thomasville dates to 2015.

Cora Perez had a fantastic game for the Royals having 4 saves throughout the contest. Madison Marshall and Delaney Elder had the only two shots on goal during the game. Warner had six total shots but also had eleven fouls. In the 40thminute of the game, Analeice Wilkes scored the only goal of the game between both teams from a penalty kick.

The Royals return home to play Southeastern University on Saturday, October 30 at 7:00 pm for the last SUN conference match-up of the season.
