Warner Football - Talley Resigns as Head Football Coach

LAKE WALES, Fla. - Warner University Athletic Director, Chrissy Moskovits has announced the resignation of head football coach Kirk Talley

Chrissy Moskovits said, "I am saddened to see Coach Talley leave Warner University; but I know the Lord has big plans for coach and I am excited to follow his journey. I wish him nothing but the best as this new chapter begins in his life."
 
Director of Football Operations and Linebackers Coach Michael Piasecki will serve as the interim head coach effective immediately while a national search to fill the head football coach position will begin soon.
 
Coach Talley joined the Royals in 2017 as the Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator after spending 16 years as the head coach at the University of Northwestern-St. Paul. He left Northwestern with the most wins in its history and during his final season guided them to an NCAA D-III playoff berth.
 
Talley took over as the head coach for the Royals in 2019. During his tenure, the Royals placed 16 student-athletes on the Academic All Mid-South Conference Sun Division list, five student-athletes on the First Team All Mid-South Sun Division list, and three student-athletes on the Second Team All Mid-South Sun Division list.
 
President David A. Hoag said, "I have been friends with Kirk for 25 years. I'm sad to see him leave, but I look forward to seeing what God has instore for him in the future."
 
The Warner community thanks Coach Talley for his faithful service to these young men and the university.
