LAKE WALES, Fla. – Royals dominate with a 6-0 victory over Florida Memorial University.
Warner University's record against the Lions is 10-2, and 6-1 when playing at home. The Royals extended their win streak against the Lions to 5 games. The Royals are now 3-5-1 overall and 1-1 in conference and snapped a four-game losing streak.
For 90 straight minutes, Warner University had command of the game. Not only did the offense have a great game with 26 total shots during the game, but the defense held the Lions to only 2 shots the whole game.
Kalena Iwashita scored two goals in the night first one in the 8
th minute and the second one in the 36
th minute of the game. Right after
Blessing Zim scored the third goal of the game for the Royals to increase the lead.
Mary Doell also scored two goals, both in the second half of the contest. Lastly,
Kirstin Campbell scored her third goal of the season to extend the Royals lead to 6-0.
The Royals will face St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens on Saturday, October 9 at 5:00 pm.
