LAKE WALES, Fla. – Royals surpass Bob Jones University to punch their ticket to NCCAA National Tournament.
Warner University faced Bob Jones University for the NCCAA Regional Championship Game. Bob Jones University came off a very impressive win against Carolina University on Wednesday night, but right after that game the Royals breezed by Columbia International University to have a chance at capturing the regional title. These two teams have played each other once before, back in 2015 the Royals took a 4-2 win then.
The Royals once again played a perfect game to beat a tough opponent. The Royals main attribute during the game against the Bruins was applying pressure to their defense. Warner University had 9 shots on goal on the night compared to the Bruins who only had 4.
Mary Doell who had 2 goals earlier in the week against the Rams and also notched 2 goals tonight against Bob Jones University. She had one in the first minute of the game and scored her second goal nine minutes later in the tenth minute of the game. One goal was assisted by
Blessing Zim and the other goal by
Kirstin Campbell.
Cora Perez had 4 saves on the night against the Bruins.
The Royals next matchup will be in Kissimmee, Florida for the NCCAA National Tournament.
