LAKE WALES, Fla. – Royals took on the Lions of Paine College for Game 1 and then the Bruins of Carolina University to punch their ticket to Missouri for the NCCAA National Tournament.
Game one was against Paine College, the Royals had a phenomenal game (25-12, 25-12, 25-4).
Alexandra Gonzalez led the Royals in kills as she notched 15 kills. Following Gonzalez was Gwen Simpson with 9 kills. Freshman,
Kylee Brooks surpassed her career-high in aces with 6 in game one. Leading in assists for the Royals was
Madison Hughes with 25 in total.
Game two was against the Bruins, Gonzalez was the kill leader again she recorded 12 more kills. She totaled 27 kills between the two games.
Alyssa Muench registered 9 kills in the second game of the day. Brooks collected another 4 aces in the day to improve her to 10 aces in total. Hughes registered another 14 assists to move her to 35 assists in total.
The Royals will now travel to Point Lookout, Missouri to compete in the 2021 NCCAA National Championship hosted by College of the Ozarks. The tournament starts on December 2nd through December 4
th.
