Warner Men's Soccer - Royals Fall to the Warriors in Conference Quarterfinal

LAKE WALES, Fla. – Royals lose heartbreaker as they lose in the Conference quarterfinal against the Warriors. 

The Royals faced Webber International University on a very cold brisk Saturday Night for the Sun Conference Quarterfinal. The Royals were the number three seed while Webber International was the sixth seed. Before tonight's contest, Warner was 4-1 their past five games. The Royals have played fantastic in conference all year going 4-2-2. Warner had not beaten Webber before tonight's contest. On September 21, Webber International beat Warner University 4-0. Then on October 2, Warner would tie Webber 1-1. During tonight's contest, the Warriors rolled through the Royals winning in style 2-0. 

Coming into tonight's game on the campus of Warner University, the Royals have had a good home record when playing the Warriors. Since 2006 the Royals are 10-5-1 when playing at home against Webber. Warner is just 2-7-1 when playing Webber. Warner had 10 total shots on the game, however, none of them were on goal. The Warriors however had 12 total shots, but 7 of them being shots on goal. Warner would outpace the Warriors in fouls with a total of 24 fouls. Webber International scored in the 54th and the 62nd minute of the game. The Royals season is not over however, they will be hosting an NCCAA regional game to try and solidify a spot in the NCCAA National Tournament.
