LAKE WALES, Fla. - Warner Flag Football took on Florida Memorial today for a matchup of the Sun Conference. The Royals used a strong offense to power past the Lions.

The Royals played for the first time on their own campus and it turned out to be a historic day. Entering the day 1-2 on the season and 0-1 in Sun Conference play, Warner picked up its first ever conference win.Â

Win they did as they took it to the Lions to the tune of 47-12. The Royals as a team put together 36 offensive plays for 307 total yards.Â

Dakota Naples was essential to the Royals success completing 17-24 for 246 yards and 6 TD's. Most of the connections went to Bernia Williams who finished the day with 7 catches totaling 100 yards and 3 TD's. Jaynah Rodriguez and Allison Mongeotti both finished the day with four catches combining for more than 100 yards.Â

Defensively, Rheamesha Gordon helped shut down the Lions offense with 4 flag pulls and 2 sacks.Â

The Royals will shift focus to next saturday March 6th where they will have a tough Sun Conference slate taking on St. Thomas and Keiser.Â
