Warner Women’s Basketball - Royals Fourth Quarter Charge Falls Short Of Lions

LAKE WALES, Fla. - The middle quarters slowed the Royals as they fell to the Lions of Florida Memorial.

The Royals put on a good charge midway through the fourth quarter with a couple of three pointers made by Haley Gannt and a layup from Alysa Augustine. Unfortunately their efforts fell short of the Lions. The Lions made just 2-12 three pointers but shot 43% from the field giving them the 62-47 victory over the Royals.

Haley Gannt was the point leader for the Royals finishing the game with 15. She also added 7 rebounds, and continued her Sun Conference leading blocks with another tonight. Shelby Gard finished the night with three made baskets from beyond the arc giving her 9 points.

The Royals have just four games remaining on the season with the next taking place at home against Ave Maria next Thursday.
