LAKE WALES, Fla. – Not only did the Royals upset the NAIA (13) Life University Running Eagles in a big sweep, but they did so on head coach Luiz Lustoza's birthday!
The Royals won their seventh straight matchup this afternoon taking down NAIA powerhouse (13) Life University. The Running Eagles fall to just 7-3 overall with the loss.
Warner however, improves to 7-2 overall and lengthens their winning streak to seven. During the seven wins the Royals have taken down (2) Campbellsville in five sets and also (13) Life in a straight sweep. The Royals have swept four straight opponents and are 21-3 in the last 24 sets played.
The Royals swept their way through today's matchup with a powerful offense that compiled a .486% kill percentage.
Eduardo Ayala finished the match with 10 kills and hit .625%.
Daniel Isernhagen ended the sweep with 9 kills and 2 blocks.
Audrye Alejandro Rivera led the defense with 7 digs.
Matheus Collares served as the Royals main setter and completed his day with 22 assists.
The Royals ripped through the Running Eagles in three sets 25-22, 25-21, 25-17.
Next up Warner will take on Webber International on Tuesday of next week in the Turner Athletic Center.
