MIAMI, Fla. (March 19, 2021) – This week's Sun Conference Softball Series of the Week will feature the Ave Maria Gyrenes (14-4, 2-0 TSC) at the No. 19-ranked Warner Royals (16-6, 1-1 TSC) in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 20.
 
The Gyrenes come into Saturday's contests riding a six-game winning streak, including a doubleheader sweep of St. Thomas on Wednesday. AMU is hitting .379 with six home runs and 142 runs scored. Leading the Gyrenes is Marisa Michi, who is batting .379 with three home runs and 25 RBI. In the circle, AMU has registered a 3.03 ERA with 75 strikeouts in 111 innings pitched. The Gyrenes' top pitcher is Sarah Shepard, who has a 1.88 ERA with 41 strikeouts in 52 innings of action.
 
The Royals are coming off a league series split at Keiser on Wednesday. WU is hitting .330 as a team with 12 home runs and 135 RBI. Breyonna Shell comes into the weekend hitting .419 with two home runs and a team-high 31 RBI. The Royals pitching staff has tallied a 2.46 ERA with 79 strikeouts in 148 innings pitched. Leading the WU pitching staff is Tiffany Dodson, who owns a 1.75 ERA with 59 strikeouts in 92 innings of action.
 
Warner has won four of the last five meetings between the two teams.
