BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Royals offense took a turn for game two with 10 runs leaving the Warriors at 4 runs. The opposite occurred in game one with the score of 4-2 in favor of (RV) Webber.
Game one
The Warriors scored one run in the first inning.
John Pichman scored on a wild pitch to tie the game in the top of the 4
th. In the top of the 5
th,
Taylor Briggs singled through the left side registered an RBI scoring
Devin Frost to put the Royals on top 2-1. In the 6
th inning, the Warriors tied up the game and scored 2 runs in the 8
th inning to win the game.
Game two
Warner got off to a hot start in the 1
st inning when Pichman hit a home run to left field to put the Royals on top. In the 3
rd inning,
Taylor Briggs hit a home run to center field listed an RBI scoring
Brian Spradlin to make the game 3-0 for the Royals. Pichman hit his second home run of the day to left center registered an RBI scoring
Tyler Brown improving the score to 5-0. Webber scored one run in the bottom of the 3
rd and one run in the bottom of the 5
th that made the game 5-2.
In the top of the 8
th,
Jan Martinez joined the home run party and homered to left field recorded 3 RBIs scoring
Logan Flood and Spradlin to make the game 8-2 Royals up. The Warriors scored one run in the bottom of the 8
th that moved the game to 8-3. In the top of the 9
th, Pichman hit his third home run of the game to left field registered an RBI scoring Briggs to make the game 10-3. Webber scored in the bottom of the 9
th to have a final score of 10-4 in favor of Warner.
John Bean took the win off of the mound improving his overall record to 5-2. Pichman now has 12 home runs, 43 RBIs in the season.
Next up, Warner will travel to Miami Gardens, Fla, to face Florida Memorial in a Sun Conference match-up on Friday, April 9, and Saturday, April 10.
