Warner blanked Thomas in the opening game of the conference doubleheader. The Royals took the first bite when Breyonna Shell singled up the middle scoring Alison Yawn in the bottom of the first inning. It was a quiet game until the bottom of the sixth when the Royals added five more runs and sealed the deal with the eventual 6-0 win. Andrea Rebello hit a sharp single up the middle that scored Jennifer Bryant. Later, a bases loaded wild pitch allowed Rebello to score. Just after that Sara Bruno punched a double up the middle then moved up to third safely, that double scored Katelyn Richards and Alison Yawn. Ashton Owen then hit her second double of the game and fourth of the season scoring Bruno and gave the Royals the 6-0 win.

Tiffany Dodson picked up her 18th win of the season following the complete 7 inning shutout. Dodson spread out 7 hits, walking just 1 and striking out 3. This was Dodson's 16th complete game.

Ashton Owen led the Royals offense with a 3-4 game one with an RBI. Alison Yawn, Sara Bruno and Jennifer Bryant all registered two hits in the game.
