KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Royals played game 3 of the NAIA Opening Round in the Kingsport, Tenn. bracket against IU Southeast on day one of the tournament. 
 
In the top of the 1^st, Tyler Brown started the game with a home run to the right field to put a run on the board for the Royals. David Torres doubled to deep left-center registered 2 RBI's scoring John Pichman and Logan Flood. Brian Spradlin singled thru the hole at shortstop and listed an RBI scoring Torres. Taylor Briggs singled to center field recorded an RBI scoring Josh Strickland. Jan Martinez singled to right registered an RBI scoring Devin Frost to make the game 6-0 in favor of Warner. 
 
In the bottom of the 3^rd, IU Southeast scored 3 runs to move the game to 6-3. In the top of the 6^th, Briggs homered over the left-field fence to improve the game to 7-3 Royals up. In the top of the 7^th, Flood singled up the middle listed an RBI scoring Brown. Strickland recorded an RBI in the top of the 9^th by reaching on a fielder's choice scoring Brown. 
 
John Bean started for the Royals. Bean threw 7 innings. Andy Yarbrough went in relief for Bean. Yarbrough threw an inning before Liam Felix went in to close the game.
 
IU Southeast walked off with a home run in the 9^th inning ending the game with a final score of 10-9.
