BRUNSWICK, Ga. - Warner takes two losses to Coastal Georgia moving their overall score 30-16 and TSC 14-10.
Game one
The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the 4
th when the Mariners scored a run. Coastal Georgia scored a run in the bottom of the 5
th and 6
th.
Katelyn Richards,
Sara Bruno,
Ashton Owen, and
Kelly Dwyer contributed to the four hits in the game.
Breyonna Shell added an RBI to her record with a sacrifice fly to left field in the top of the 6
th to put a run on the board for the Royals.
Tiffany Dodson pitched a complete game allowing 7 hits and registered 2 strikeouts. Her record moves to 23-10 overall.
Game two
In the top of the 3
rd, Bruno singled registered 2 RBIs scoring Richards and
Alison Yawn. The Mariners answered back in the bottom of the 3
rd with a 2 run homer. The score remained the same until the bottom of the 6
th when they scored 2 runs. In the top of the 7
th Dwyer hit a home run to move the game to 4-3 CCGA on top.
The four hits recorded were by Richards, Bruno,
Jada Cruz, and Dwyer.
Arianna Arroyo started the game for the Royals. Dodson went in relief for Arroyo and pitched 3 innings.
Kara Bradley went in relief for Dodson. Dodson took the loss-making her record 23-11.
The Royals record moves to 30-16 and 15-10 TSC. They will enter post-season play next week. Warner will face Thomas University in The Sun Conference Tournament on May 6, 2021, at 1:30 pm in Clermont, Fla.
