Warner Men’s Soccer – Royals Tie Against Bears in Home Opener

LAKE WALES, Fla. – Royals double-overtime thriller resulted in a tie against Truett McConnell.

It was a gorgeous night when the Royals Men's Soccer team faced off against a tough opponent Truett Mcconnell University on Saturday night. You could not predict a better night for some soccer, gorgeous sunset, and 80 degrees throughout the whole game.

The Royals before they faced off Truett Mcconnell University had a record of 1-0-1, tying Point University 3-3 and beating Pensacola Christian College.

The Royals tie Truett Mcconnell University in another double-overtime nail-biter. Royals took a quick lead early in the game, with a goal by the junior Deven Ingley assisted by Simiran Pnasier, and Eduardo DaSilva in the 13th minute of the game. It was smooth sailing for the Royals for the next 70 minutes of the game. The Royals succeeded with the depth of the team and defense throughout the rest of the game. It was very quiet until the 84th minute of the game when Nour Alamri for Truett Mcconnell University snuck a header by the Royals defense that found the back of the net to tie it up 1-1. The game ended up going into double overtime for the Royals, the second double-overtime game this season for the men's soccer team. The Royals record is now 1-0-2.

The Royals will travel to Georgia to face the Barons of Brewton-Parker Saturday, September 4.
