LAKELAND, Fla. – The Royals traveled to Lakeland, Fla to face off against Southeastern University for the 36^th time in program history. 

Before the Royals faced the Fire they were on a 6-game win streak. Also, SEU was undefeated at home. 

The Royals had a total of 58 kills on the night against the Fire. Senior, Alexandra Gonzalez led the Royals with 17 kills. Right behind her was Alyssa Muench with 12 kills. Madison Hughes as, recorded 33 assists on the night. Southeastern took the first set 25-22. The Royals took the second set 25-17. In the third set the Fire took a commanding win 25-13, but in the final set of the game the Fire would win what almost seemed to some to be an everlasting set 33-31. 

The Royals will face the Bobcats at home for another conference matchup Saturday, September 18 at 2:00 PM.
