LAKE WALES - The Royals hosted the #2 St. Thomas Bobcats in Lake Wales, Fla for a Sun Conference match.
The Royals looked for an important win against their visiting rivals. The Royals had a strong defensive play throughout the entire matchup. They were able to hold up one of the best offenses in the nation and keep them at zero in the first half of the match, while also getting a few good shots of their own. Their defense was led by their goalkeeper
Gustavo Infante as he recorded a total of 7 saves. The Bobcats would eventually find an opening in the Royals defense and a goal by Teo Rondon would break the tie and give the Bobcats the advantage. The Royals looked to battle back as they put up shots but the tough defense was enough to hold off giving the Bobcats the close 1-0 victory. The Royals look towards their next matchup as they host Keiser University on October 21st.
