LAKE WALES, FL- The Royals hosted their Sun Conference rivals in the St. Thomas University Bobcats.
The Royals looked to defend their home field as they hosted the Bobcats from St.Thomas University as they seeked for their first conference win of the season. The Royals found themselves trailing as the Bobcats registered the first score of the game as the St. Thomas's Jnopierre would register 23 yards, breaking the scoreless efforts to start in this one. Shortly after, the Bobcats would score again as Farmer would rush for 8 yards extending the Bobcats lead. Heading into the second quarter, the Bobcats would find a hole in the Royals' tight defense adding to their lead. The Bobcats lead would be extended as they would score again finishing the first half with a 30 point lead. The Royals looked to battle back. The Royals defense was led by
Deshauwn Alleyne as he recorded four tackles through the first two quarters of play. The Royals found themselves trailing as they headed into the half looking to make some adjustments against the Bobcats offense. The Bobcats would continue to apply pressure as they would score multiple times carrying their total to seventy three. The Royals would crack the scoreboard as
Evens Valcourt would register fifty one yards for a touchdown as he would haul in a tipped pass to find the endzone. Valcourt would score again for the Royals this time for 42 yards for his second of the night. The Royals battled hard throughout this game but would fall to the bobcats The Royals look for a bounce back game as they face off against Ave Maria Gyrenes next saturday.
