Warner Women's Soccer Loses To #7 SCAD-Savannah On The Road

SAVANNAH, Ga - Warner Women's Soccer looked to bounce back on the road against SCAD-Savannah in a sun conference matchup.

The Royals traveled to Savannah, Ga in hopes of getting back in the win column against the #7 ranked bees. The Bees came into this match undefeated on the year and looked in sync from the opening kick. The Bees broke the 0-0 tie in the fourth minute of the match to set the tone for the Bees and followed it up with another goal from Sydney Chura. Sophomore Moa Bjorestam put the Royals on the board to cut the deficit in half, in the 25th minute of the match, from an assist from the Royals current goal leader, Oddny Helgadottir. SCAD-Savannah would find the back of the goal two more times before half to lead the Royals 4-1. In the second half, the Bees continued to find their offense scoring three more goals in the second half to lengthen their lead over the Royals. Jocelyn Royce answered back with a goal in the 85th minute of the match but it proved to be a little too late as the clock would strike zero giving the Royals the conference loss. Inna Vannula registered 13 saves in the loss for the Royals.
