BABSON PARK, Fla - The Royals will face their Crooked Lake rivals Webber Warriors looking to close their season going .500 in both teams' final game of the season.
This afternoon, the Royals traveled to Babson Park to take on their Rival Webber International University. Burks and the Warner Royals Football team have been working all season breaking old traditions and making new ones going into this game 4-5 after a huge win against Ave Maria the game before. The Warriors come into this one 2-7 and both teams are looking to end their season with a win. Â It was Webber senior night from all the festivities and tailgating when the ball was kicked off at 1:30 both fans fully engaged in this highly anticipated matchup. Webber struck first catching the Royals sleeping in with 11:46 Â with a 8 yard pass giving the Warriors a 7-0 lead from that point the Warriors kept finding themselves in the endzone scoring 2 more times bringing the score to the half 17-0 Warriors up. Out of the gate again the Warriors capitalized again scored another touchdown within the first minute of the 3rd quarter. With the Royals backs against the walls on the one yard line in the 3rd with 7 minutes on the clock
Evan Eshbach finds open receiver
Evens Valcourt for 99 yard pass for the Royals first touchdown of the game. This gave the Royals some life back with 7 minutes left in the 3rd and a whole 4th Quarter of play left. The Warriors answered back with a little over a minute left in the 3rd going into the 4th 30-7 Warriors up. The Royals refused to give up with 6:14 on the clock
Xavier Holliday found
Kyle Metiam on a screen pass which turned into a 67 yard touchdown with a two point conversion rush by the QB
Xavier Holliday bringing the Royals 30-15 against the Warriors. It was too late the Royals could not find the endzone again leaving the game 33-15 Warriors win. This Royals team had an amazing season and is looking to improve and going to come back stronger next season.
