Warner Women's Volleyball Sweep The Lions In Their Last Regular Season Match

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla - The Royals face Florida Memorial University in the last regular season match in Miami Gardens, Fla.

Tonight the Royals travel to Miami Gardens to face off against the Lions in their last game of the season for the season looking to end the season with a win. The last time these two teams faced off against each other earlier in the season the Royals took the win in the 5th set. They need another win tonight to put them in place to have a chance to compete in the conference tournament and that's exactly what our Women's Volleyball team came to do. They came out on fire tonight by starting off with a powerful first set. The biggest score differential was 9 point lead with your Royals maintaining a comfortable lead throughout winning the first set 25-17. In the second set the Lions make the Royals compete keeping the game in reach but eventually pulling away in the end 25-20. In the 3rd and final set the Ladies kept their foot on the gas winning the final set with an ace from Karla Rodriquez bringing the Royals last set score 25-16. The Royals dominated the stats tonight with 35 kills, nine aces, and 31 assists. Offensive stats leaders tonight were Cristina Marrero with 9 kills, Imar Laboy with 15 assists, and Sky McDermott with three aces. Defensively, leading her teams in digs tonight was Karla Rodriguez and in blocks Reva Godbolt with six. The Royals regular season has come to an end with the Ladies ending their season 7-14.
