LAKELAND, Fla - Warner Men's Basketball faced Southeastern University on the road in Lakeland, Fla in a Sun Conference matchup.
The Royals faced Southeastern University in Lakeland, Fla in a Sun Conference matchup. The Royals and Fire went back and forth the entire game in a low scoring, and very defensive heavy game. The Royals got off to a great start trading points with Southeastern but ultimately pulled ahead by six points by the end of the first half.
Christian Nurse had a phenomenal game, with
Logan West out, as he registered a double-double with 15 points, 17 rebounds, and an assist. Tied with the team lead in points was
Joseph Martz who tallied 15 points, three rebounds, and two assists. The Fire came out of the half with some adjustments for the Royals as the game got close in the final minute. The Royals were able to score on a key layup by
Jeremiah Saunders, which eventually proved to be the dagger as the Royals took down SEU in a fun-to-watch Sun conference matchup.
