Miami Gardens, FL--The Royals traveled down south this week to face off against Florida Memorial University and took control of the whole game winning (26-25, 25-8, 25-21) Saturday evening on the road.
The Sun-Conference win moved Warner University to (7-9) on the season and (2-4) in the conference.
The Royals were led by Leah Cooley who had an impressive offensive outing against the Lions. Cooley led the Royals in Kills recording 15 in this match up and led her team in aces with a staggering 7, but also had the second highest Digs of this match up with 14 . Another offensive threat tonight, setting up her team all around the court, is Imar Laboy who recorded 34 assists. On the defensive end, the Royals were led by Ashlyn Fassnacht who recorded 15 Digs for the Royals and Rylee Waldie who recorded 3 blocks for the Royals.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Lions came out hot in the first set taking control of the first half of the set with the lead. It wasn't until an error from the Lions to give the Royals an 18-17 and their first lead of the set. It was back and forth the entirety of the set until all the way to the end with a set winning Ace from Cooley to earn the first set win for the Royals.
SET 2 | The Royals brought the momentum from the first set and dominated the second set from the beginning. The Royals took an early lead and the Lions could not find a solution to the Royals. The Royals had the biggest lead of the game in this set with a 20-3 lead. The closed this one out with another service Ace from Leonelis Lopez-Fernandez.
SET 3 | In the last set the Lions found themselves after a huge loss in the last set taking the early lead against the Royals. Throughout the set it was a back and forth match between the two teams but in the end the Royals closed it out with a kill from Cooley ending the game.
