LAKE WALES, FL - On November 9, 2024, Warner University's Women's Volleyball team delivered an impressive performance at the SUN Conference Closing Match at the Turner Athletic Center. The Warner Royals clinched a decisive 3-0 victory over the Florida Memorial Lions.
From the outset, the Royals dominated the court. In the first set, they outscored the Lions with a substantial 25-10 margin. Although Florida Memorial put up a stronger fight in the second set, Warner managed to maintain their lead, winning 25-21. They sealed their victory in the third set with a 25-16 scoreline.
Key players took the spotlight with remarkable individual stats.
Leah Cooley and
Imar Laboy both secured 10 kills each, underscoring their crucial roles in the team's offense. Additionally, Evaisabel Morales contributed significantly both in serving, with a team-high of 4 service aces, and defensive plays, leading with 13 digs.
Imar Laboy also topped the assists chart with 23, demonstrating her versatility and pivotal presence on the court.
