Royals Show Resilience but Fall to #7 Northwestern in High-Scoring Contest, 103-88

LAKE WALES, FL - The Warner Royals Men's Basketball team faced a tough challenge against #7 NAIA-ranked Northwestern College, falling 103-88 in a high-scoring contest. Despite the loss, the Royals displayed resilience, particularly in a strong second-half offensive showing.

Game Leaders:

  • Logan West led Warner with 24 points, shooting an efficient 11-of-16 from the field, while also grabbing 4 rebounds and recording a block.
  • Jamal Norris was electric off the bench, scoring 27 points, including a blistering 7-of-9 from three-point range.
  • Blaize Darling Jr contributed on the boards, leading the team with 7 rebounds while adding 6 points.

The Royals shot an impressive 50.7% from the field and knocked down 12 three-pointers, but Northwestern's balanced attack and 61.9% shooting proved difficult to overcome. Despite the setback, Warner's effort and offensive execution provide a strong foundation to build on as they look ahead to their next match up against Shawnee State University, December 18th, 2024 at 4:00pm back at the Turner Athletic Center.
