Warner Men's Basketball Win An OT Thriller Against CCGA

LAKE WALES, FL- The Royals faced off against Coastal Georgia University in a Sun Conference matchup, taking place in Lake Wales, FL.

The Royals survive an overtime thriller on senior night, to capture their fourth conference win. This was a battle to the very end, as both teams shot efficiently from the field. The Royals gained an early lead in the first half, thanks to Logan West who led the Royals in the first half with nine points. On the day, he finished with 19 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and three blocks. Blocking was a difference maker in the contest as the Royals notched eight more than the visiting mariners. Accurate shooting was also a positive for Warner, as the team combined for 93 points on 46.2 percent shooting. Blaize Darling Jr had a great game for the Royals, tallying 25 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Even more impressive was his four points in overtime to help secure the win on senior night. The Royals dominated in the paint tonight, totaling 36 points, compared to their opponents' 20. Skyler Sculll was perfect from the three-point line, going 2-2 to finish with 16 points. Scull additionally shot a solid 8-10 from the charity stripe. The Mariners got a good performance tonight from Nick Jiles, who scored 24 points on 50 percent shooting. Warner, looking to secure a win on senior night, ran away with the game in overtime and came out on top 93 to 84. The Royals will look to remain in the win column Saturday when they face Southeastern in a Sun Conference matchup.
