Warner Men's Volleyball Takes Down Edward Waters And Drops Two Conference Matches At Home

LAKE WALES, Fla - The Royals are in the final stretch for the season, this past week being the second to last round of regular conference play. The Royals played a major Florida match up to start the week off to then face off against two AAC conference teams.

The start of the week was the anticipated game for Florida Men's Volleyball, as there's only two other colleges at the moment these Florida matchups become culturally important for the community here in the state. The Royals played a phenomenal match against the Tigers, losing the first set but coming up 18/25, the Royals rallied together behind an impactful performance by Oscar Jaquez to take the next two sets, 25/22 and 26/24. The Tigers push the Royals back with intelligent attacks going off the block to force a fifth set, 23/25. In the final set, the Royals found perfect harmony between Blake Rosen on the serve receive line, to Imanol Davila setting up Oscar Jaquez and Romone Rudolph to close at the game and win in five, 15/10.
The second match was against a scornful Bluefield, the first time the Royals faced off against the Rams the game was extremely close but the Royals broke through. This time the Royals couldn't close out the sets even when they were up. The Royals lost their footing past 15 points in each set struggling with first and third contact. However, the margin of the game was not concerning moving forward. 22/25, 25/27, 23/25.
The final match of the week was against St.Andrews Knights. The first match up the Royals found themselves unable to produce many points even with long rallies. This time around the Royals started with great momentum and found themselves up in score during the first set, by the end we saw a collapse from the Royals leading to their loss in three sets. 21-25/14/24/14/25.
