MARIETTE, GA - In a dominant display of volleyball prowess, the Warner University Royals decisively defeated the St Andrews University Knights with a clean sweep of 3-0 at the Running Eagle Classic held at Life University on August 24, 2024. This victory marks a strong start to the season for the Royals in their college-level women's volleyball competition.
The Royals showcased their skills right from the start, winning the first set impressively with a score of 25-12. The momentum continued with them seizing the second set at 25-15 and concluding the match with a 25-21 win in the third set. This comprehensive victory underscores their preparedness and team cohesion.
Highlighting the match were standout performances from
Rylee Waldie, who led the team with 13 kills and 2 blocks, followed by
Leah Cooley with 9 kills, and Leonelis Fernandez contributing 6 kills. The defensive efforts were bolstered by Thaimarys Rosado and
Skye McDermott, each with 5 digs, complementing the aggressive plays.
Skye McDermott also excelled in serving, delivering 3 aces, while
Ashlyn Fassnacht and
