DELAND, FL - In a challenging season opener for Warner University Royals, the collegiate men's football team faced a tough defeat against the Stetson Hatters, with a final score of 35-0 on September 7, 2024, at Spec Martin Municipal Stadium in DeLand, Florida.
The game, set under cloudy skies, saw the Hatters dominate from the kick-off, holding the Royals scoreless through the entire game. Despite spirited efforts, Warner could not penetrate the robust Stetson defense, ending the game without putting any points on the board.

Shane Hamm made commendable efforts with 89 passing yards while
Clyde Holland spearheaded the rushing attack with 80 yards.
Defensively,
Kelson Menace stood out for the Royals with nine tackles, and
DeMarques Densmore's interception was a highlight, though it was not enough to turn the tide in Warner's favor.
The Royals are looking to regroup and address the setbacks before their next faceoff against Shorter University on September 21, 2024, at Tye Athletic Field in Lake Wales, Florida.
