LAKE WALES, FL - In a closely contested SUN Conference basketball game at the Turner Athletic Center, the Warner University Royals faced a tough matchup against the Southeastern Fire on January 15, 2025. Despite a strong effort, the Royals fell to the Fire with a final score of 82-62.
From the start, Warner University took an early lead with smart plays and solid shooting, highlighted by key baskets from
Kalyah Watson and
Jasmine Cheema. Although the Royals trailed 20-11 at the end of the first period, their spirits remained high. The game continued with intense moments, including impressive layups from
Bethany Howard and strategic plays from
Kalyah Watson that kept the Royals competitive throughout the game. Notably, Howard finished the game as a top performer for the Warner side with 12 points and 8 rebounds.
