Box Score LAKE WALES, FL - The Warner Royals Men's Basketball team put up a spirited fight against #18 NAIA-ranked Ave Maria University but ultimately fell 98-86 in a high-scoring contest at the Turner Athletic Center. Despite the loss, the Royals demonstrated their offensive capabilities and resilience against a top opponent.
Game Leaders:
- Blaize Darling Jr led the Royals with an impressive 29 points, shooting 11-of-16 from the field and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. He also added 9 rebounds and 5 assists in a stellar all-around performance.
- Logan West added 22 points on 9-of-17 shooting, including 7 rebounds and 4 assists, showcasing his consistency on both ends of the court.
- Jack Voth chipped in 20 points, connecting on 3-of-5 from three-point range, while also contributing 3 assists.
Warner shot a strong 48.5% from the field and 60.9% from the free-throw line but struggled to overcome Ave Maria's dominance on the boards (39-31) and their balanced scoring attack. The Royals remain determined as they prepare for their next matchup at St. Thomas University Saturday, January 11th at 4:00pm.
